Areas of Expertise
As one of San Antonio's larger homeowner association management companies, AMS has the years of management experience needed to effectively and successfully oversee the complicated issues of:
  • financial reporting,
  • assessment of liability concerns,
  • establishment of funds for major repairs/replacements,
  • assessment collections, covenant enforcement, and
  • common area maintenance.

AMS' experience is especially helpful during the process of creating association documents such as:
  • Articles of Incorporation,
  • Bylaws, and
  • Declarations of Restrictive Covenants.

Because of their specialized knowledge, AMS' team of administrative and management personnel can review the documents to assure they contain the elements needed to meet present and future community needs. Well designed association documents are a necessity because they outline board and management responsibilities to protect each individual's investment, to provide a comfortable environment, and to resolve community issues.

Although the documents outline responsibilities, they do not outline how these responsibilities should best be accomplished. That knowledge comes from experience.

The staff of AMS not only have many years of experience from managing over 130 HOAs and providing a full range of professional services, they have a service-oriented philosophy. At Association Management Services, "service" is more than just a word.

Accreditation

At AMS, each association is given hands-on treatment and treated equally, regardless of size or budget. This philosophy helped AMS become the first company in south Texas to receive the distinguished Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) designation from the Community Association Institute (CAI).

CAI is a national organization that promotes professionalism and education for HOA managers, association board members, and service vendors. In addition, membership in CAI helps AMS monitor national, state, and local legislation that affects homeowners associations. AMS managers are required to take courses in the field of community management.

Why AMS?

Knowing what is on the national, state, and local horizon for homeowner associations enables AMS to help association boards be pro-active in their policy making. Such action ensures a better environment for all homeowners. Yet another way AMS works for their clients is to provide continuity when membership changes on an association's board of directors.

These are the many reasons that AMS is the professional management team best suited to manage and protect your homeowners association's financial and community interests. At AMS, homeowner association management is the business of people.
